That was the design brief the owner of ENERGY delivered to Espen Øino and François Zuretti — and the result is one of the most ambitious superyachts of the modern era. Built by Amels as Project 77 and delivered in June 2022, she is a 77.8-metre, 2,884 GT custom superyacht that served as the yard's flagship until the 120-metre Project Tanzanite launched. She ranks 9th in Amels' all-time production and sits at number 231 on the world's largest yachts list.
Espen Øino shaped the exterior around a slightly raked bow with a rounded tip, an unbroken sheerline, and walkaround sidedecks with integrated private balconies — privacy was a central theme throughout. François Zuretti, who received the 2023 BOAT International Lifetime Achievement Award for Design and Innovation, delivered the interior: a warm, tactile composition of sycamore, Tineo, bronze, leather, Japanese lacquer, and nine different marbles and semi-precious stones. Every door on board — all 30 of them — was drawn by Zuretti specifically for this yacht.
The project began at 60 metres and grew to 77.8 metres through iterative discussion with the owner — sized precisely to fit his berth in front of the Monaco Yacht Club. The hull was constructed at Damen's Romanian facility, then transported to Vlissingen, Netherlands for outfitting. Keel laid late 2018, launched December 2019, delivered June 2022. The yacht has been used only privately since delivery.

Øino's vision for ENERGY was an exterior that feels both architectural and serene. The yacht's raked bow and sweeping sheerline give her the stature of an ocean voyager, while expansive terraces and walk-around decks invite calm, open-air living throughout. The entire upper deck becomes a private owner's domain, and every guest stateroom has its own private balcony via sliding glass walls.
A 12.5-metre swimming pool — described by industry observers as "one of the largest on any yacht, anywhere" — anchors the upper deck aft, complemented by sun terraces and fold-down sea platforms that open directly onto the water. On the upper deck, the private Owner's area includes a forward spa pool and firepit lounge surrounded by deep lounges and uninterrupted views.
Above, a touch-and-go helipad transforms into a panoramic sky lounge, yoga studio, or entertainment space with a statement covered bar. ENERGY's deck plan creates effortless transitions between social and private zones — the yacht always feels intimate, whether hosting a party or crossing an ocean.
Zuretti Interior Design's brief was explicit: warmth, richness, and Asian influences, replacing the casual "beach house" aesthetic common in modern yachts. The result is contemporary but never minimalistic. The palette layers sycamore, Tineo, anigré, palm, and straw veneers against bronze bas-reliefs by DKT Artworks and Japanese lacquer panels by Atelier Midavaine. Every one of the yacht's 30 doors was drawn by Zuretti himself, specifically for this vessel.
Ceiling heights across the owner's, bridge, and main decks reach 2.3 metres (7.5 ft) with a centre section of 2.5 metres (8.2 ft) — creating the generous volumetric sense of a residence rather than a vessel. Nine different marbles and semi-precious stones appear throughout; in the owner's bathroom, a single piece of onyx is cut so it gradually changes colour from the floor to the windows.
ENERGY is one of the few yachts in the world with a comprehensive, purpose-built wellness and lifestyle programme spanning two dedicated decks. Where most yachts add a gym as an afterthought, ENERGY was designed around her amenity spaces from the first sketch.
